Our client, a leader in the Chemical Industry, is seeking to employ a dynamic Head of Food Sales with experience in selling chemical commodities / products into the food manufacturing environment.**
This position is located in JHB (Boksburg).

Requirements:


  • Driver's license and own vehicle.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing sales in a corporate setting.

5+ years of experience in Sales of Chemical Commodities, specifically the Food Industry
:


  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.

Responsibilities:


Income Generation and Sales Management:


  • Design and develop a detailed mapping of the Food Industry.
  • Generate leads and establish and nurture client relationships.
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base.
  • Meet with potential clients and grow longlasting relationships that address their needs.
  • Achieve the relevant sales budget and financial targets as set by the company.
  • Management and rotation of inventory stock levels.

Relationship Management of Debtor Payments:


  • Resolve any delayed customer payments as indicated by companies' debtor department.
  • Call on clients to discuss and resolve payment problems as they arise.

Administration:


  • Ensure that all purchase orders are received from clients prior to dispatching.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Together with the Legal Department ensure that all legal documents and processes are followed when signing up an order.
  • Deliver sales presentations to customers and prepare professional and corporate reading materials for customers to take away from meeting.
  • All stock is purchased with a clear plan and approval so that it is moved within 60 days of arrival unless approved by the Commercial Manager.

CRM:


  • Track customer interactions.
  • Keep contact information up to date.
  • Set tasks and reminders for followup with contacts.
  • Creates and builds workflows for faster task and contact management.
  • Identify bundling and upsell opportunities for current customers.
  • Maintain customer database and approve the use of internal and external mailing lists.

Product Knowledge:


  • Possess excellent indepth knowledge of products within the Food Industry.
  • Be able to explain the product values, positioning in the market, target customers and technical knowledge of the product.

Coordination, Leadership and Management:


  • Manage and lead the Food Industry to meet targets and drive a highperformance culture.
  • Lead weekly Food development meetings and ensure on delivering feedback and reports.
  • Develop clear paths and progression planning in the Food Industry.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and strong negotiation and influential skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong relationship management ability.
  • Ability to build reports and forecast on sales as well as trends.
  • Must have intermediate level of excel.
  • Managing compliance with all relevant statutes and regulations as necessary.
  • Strong management experience and excellent leadership skills to develop a team of sales staff.
  • Extensive businesstobusiness sales experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
