    Our client, a dynamic Trade and Marketing Specialist based in Observatory, Cape Town has an exciting vacancy for a qualified and experienced Insights Manager.

    Job Specs

    Key accountabilities:
    -Support the sales team in generating income from our insights product offerings through
    the selling of insights services.
    -Manage shopper research projects from inception to completion (internal &
    commissioned).
    - Understand different research methodologies and apply the right one for the
    "brief".
    -Drawing up research proposals.
    - Shopper research & data analysis.
    - Structure fieldwork requirements to deliver on client objectives.
    - Liaise with the key stakeholders within different channels.
    - Interpretation of research findings into a compelling insights story & presentation
    deck and/or report (for commissioned research). Ownership of the process of
    translating key insights into actionable inputs to develop solutions that will shape
    shopper behaviour.(not consumer)
    - Presentation creation and presenting research and insights findings back to
    clients.
    - Managing project budgets.
    - Manage Insights Team, set goals, manage performance and motivate team members.
    - Actively participate in think tanks within cross functional teams and collaboratively work
    on clients briefs.

    Requirements:
    - An insatiable curiosity and passion to always ask "why" and dig deeper to find the real
    insights.
    - Formal qualification in Marketing, Marketing Research or Social Science.
    -5+ years experience with shopper research and different research methodologies
    (consumer advantages but shopper is a MUST)
    - 3+ years experience in managing an Insights Team.
    - Knowledge of Trade Marketing in a retail environment (BTL marketing/POS)
    - Strong commercial acumen
    - Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills
    - Data analysis skills
    -Strong presentation and communication skills. 5 years experience pitching to C-suite
    executives.
    -Excellent storytelling abilities (using a combination of data, trade trends, desktop
    research turn it into a compelling insights story with a commercial angle).
