    Description

    This role is ideal for a skilled Accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic busy business environment, adding value, and implementing systems and procedures as needed. As a key member of the management team, you will advise on issues related to the finances where it may affect other departments. Delivering clear communication to the Directors and Management team in order to drive the financial aspect of the business.

    Requirements:

    • BCom Accounting or Finance
    • Highly Computer Literate with advanced EXCEL & SAGE knowledge
    • Good Leadership skills

    Duties:

    To be able to take the books to trail balance and prepare for external auditors to sign off at financial year end. Responsible for the work of the Creditor and Finance Clerk.

    • Perform weekly checks and internal controls
    • Monitor and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends, loading payments on internet banking to be authorised
    • Manage bank recons and cashbook
    • Manage creditors clerk and recons
    • Weekly checks on stock control, recon of stock takes with Pastel, check costings with management
    • Compiling budgets (joint function with management)
    • Inter-company and non-cash flow transactions - i.e. loan account recons, maintaining asset register and finance accoutns
    • Monthly PAYE, VAT, EMP201, IRP5, Currency variances, Salary journals and depreciation
    • Providing and interpreting financial information and reporting back to management on a weekly basis and Monthly financial meeting basis when presenting a complete Management Finance pack. Analyzing, making changes and advising accordingly. Monthly financial meetings to be presented according to company standards
    • Payroll
    • Manage any other accounting software company might adopt - maintenance
    • General accounting duties and management of junior staff
