Description

My client is seeking a Financial Accountant to commence urgently, based in Bellville South.

Responsibilities:

Process credit notes based on supporting documents
Capture forex transactions
Prepare working papers as required
Prepare Management Accounts
Update Asset Register on Pastel Evolution
Assist Financial Accountant with annual clean-up of asset register if needed
Maintain statutory recon
Review credit applications terms and conditions
Maintain supplier application register
Prepare and payment of annual duties, assist with other statutory documents
Keep record of BBBEE documents during year for year-end verification purposes
Assist accountant with preparing BBBEE year-end verification file
Assist with completion of vendor applications, government incentive applications, tender documentation
Act as bank liaison
Train new employees to perform duties in line with company policy
Filing on network as per company policy
Perform VAT recons, submissions of VAT returns
Assist with ad-hoc functions as required by Financial Accountant/CFO
Prepare tax calculations for review by Financial Accountant. IT/Prov Tax/DWT
Liaise with SARS

Requirements:

Minimum of BCom, BCompt, BTech with Accounting 3, Audit, Tax, Accounting
Must have 2-3 years commercial experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Experience with Reconciliations,working paper preparation, management accounts preparation, forex transactions, VAT process
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and plan work activities and requirements
Excellent computer literacy, MS Office, Pastel Manufacturing, BIC reporting
