    Description

    Windmeul Cellar, located on the Northern slopes of Paarl Mountain in the heart of the Winelands, is renowned for creating wines of distinction. This is an ideal position for a professional to further his/her career as Winemaker by joining Windmeul's dynamic production team.

    The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

    • Harvesting and winemaking
    • Quality control
    • Stock management
    • Personnel management
    • Maintenance and housekeeping
    • Record keeping and administration
    • Wine tasting and external liaison
    • Health & Safety and accreditations

    Requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or similar qualification)
    • Proven experience in wine industry (3-5 years)
    • Mechanical and technical knowledge of winemaking machinery and equipment
    • Well-developed wine tasting skills
    • Good computer skills (Wine MS)
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
    • Passion and commitment for producing quality wine
    • Detail orientated
    • Ability to perform well in both a team context and individually
