Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field is often required.
10 + years of experience within the Logistics, Courier and ecommerce industries.
6 + years of experience as an Operations Manager
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Logistics Management: Coordinate the movement of packages from the point of origin to the final destination, optimizing routes and transportation modes to minimize costs and delivery times.
Staff Supervision: Manage a team of drivers, couriers, and warehouse staff, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Vehicle Fleet Management: Maintain and schedule regular maintenance for the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition to fulfill delivery obligations.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, striving to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management processes to accurately track incoming and outgoing shipments, minimize losses, and optimize warehouse space utilization.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards governing the transportation and handling of goods, including proper documentation and handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, such as on-time delivery rates, vehicle utilization, and customer feedback, and take corrective actions as needed.
Cost Management: Monitor expenses related to labor, fuel, maintenance, and other operational costs, identifying areas for cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Technology Integration: Utilize technology solutions such as GPS tracking systems, route optimization software, and electronic proof of delivery systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and analyze operational processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and competitiveness.
