Job Description

We are looking for a Digital Strategic Lead to join our team of specialists working on VISA SSA. As a Digital Strategy Lead for VISA, you will provide strategic media insight, thinking and direction for the client and SSA HUB and new business that you work on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Takes overall responsibility for the VISA PO1 SSA digital strategy team, as well as the strategic outputs for the unit, working in conjunction with ATL strategy teams in SSA markets.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage and produce quality work in line with:
1. Agency processes.
2. Global tools and processes.
Produce clear, innovative strategies at a senior level.
Deliver solid implementation planning briefs.
Assist with media negotiations if necessary.
Ensure flow plans accurately reflect the strategy.
Ensure teams (Offline and Online) are consolidating flow plans into one flow plan.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies.
Manage client relationships at all levels in the business.
Ensure seamless work with digital strategists on the business.
Develop other strategists in the team or Groupe.
Work on New Business Pitches as and when required
Manage general work output quality as part of the strategic process
Manage client budgets and oversee implementation accordingly
Hard KPI scores:
1. Effective representation of Publicis Media: Keep abreast of international and local trends, across all agency disciplines and practices.
2. Bi-annual thought-leadership/opinion piece either written or delivered in a presentation.
New Business: Assist with new business pitches. (Experience in pitching).
Awards: Enter two awards annually, that warrant winning.
Set and track spend objectives for ETV, SABC, Media 24, OOH and other.
Report in regularly to the BUD

Qualifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Digital Strategist/Lead with a minimum of 7 years media experience, with a thorough understanding of Digital media
Sound strategic skills and thinking
Thorough understanding of SSA market landscapes
Thorough understanding and experience of Media Agency processes and tools
Experience managing teams, mentorship and leading top talent across multiple verticals of media agencies
Strong client service skills, focused on building and managing strong partnerships
Strong presentation skills
African agency collective co-ordination
