    Global Audit Manager - Health, Safety, Environment, Community (HSEC) and Human Rights

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Audit Manager specialising in HSEC and Human Rights for a global mining and commodities business. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative internal audit team that provides assurance and advisory services to stakeholders globally.

    What you'll do:
    As a Global Audit Manager specialising in HSEC and Human Rights, you will play a pivotal role in conducting assurance engagements across the globe. You will identify potential risks, suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, support core values, and plan assurance audits. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding strategic considerations and risks related to HSEC. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards while working towards the Group's strategic objectives.

    • Lead HSEC and Human Rights assurance engagements globally
    • Identify and assess relevant risks and mitigating controls
    • Understand HSEC strategic, operational considerations and risks
    • Suggest improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's HSEC and Human Rights programmes
    • Support and maintain core values
    • Plan assurance audits for HSEC and Human Rights, including major HSEC and Human Rights sustainability themes of significant risk or strategic importance to the Group

    What you bring:
    The ideal candidate for this Global Audit Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in HSEC and Human Rights management. With a minimum NQF 7 qualification in a relevant field, you will have at least eight years' experience working internationally, particularly within the mining industry. Your proven problem-solving skills will be matched by your strong familiarity with HSEC and Human Rights management methodologies and best practices. A postgraduate qualification and certification as an Internal Auditor, CA or CP would be advantageous.

    • NQF 7 in Health, Safety, Environment, Community, Human Rights Management or Engineering
    • A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CA or CP (Advantageous)
    • Preferred 8+ years of working experience in an international environment (especially in the mining or similar industry) with 5+ years of HSEC and Human Rights management-related experience
    • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
    • Strong familiarity with HSEC and Human Rights management methodologies, best practices
