    About this exciting opportunity:

    Join us at Ericsson as a valued member of our global team for the role of Support Engineer. Your main role will involve managing, tracking, and executing both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks that require advanced support. Additionally, you will play a vital role in implementing change requests promptly and accurately, with a strong focus on resource allocation, setup, activation, and testing.

    What you will do:

    • Ensure database availability and performance meeting required SLAs.
    • Perform daily Oracle Database administration across all Oracle environments.
    • Install, configure, and administer production and non-production Oracle databases.
    • Monitor database systems for performance issues, addressing them proactively.
    • Configure and monitor Oracle backup jobs.
    • Conduct database ad-hoc backups and recovery.
    • Create and maintain documentation related to database processes and procedures.
    • Install Oracle database software patches.
    • Write Shell scripts for task automation.
    • Basic development using PL/SQL.
    • Diagnose incidents, take corrective actions, and conduct root cause analysis.
    • Administer RDMS & DataGuard.
    • Database tuning for optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with development teams to enhance their database utilization.
    • Implement database security measures and auditing processes.

    The skills you bring:

    • 4+ years hands-on experience with Oracle databases on Linux/UNIX Platforms.
    • Knowledge of Oracle 11g -19c Database Internals and Administration.
    • 2+ years of Linux/UNIX Basic Administration.
    • 2+ years MySQL experience.
    • Proficiency in automation scripting (UNIX, PowerShell).
    • Familiarity with Oracle Advanced Features such as Multitenant, Data Guard, RMAN, Advanced Compression, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
    • Experience in production support, handling complex operational and performance issues.
    • Capacity planning and resource usage analysis.
    • Oracle DB Monitoring using Grafana for monitoring, alerting, and job scheduling.
