    Costing and Estimations Clerk

    Location: Alberton

    Salary: R15 000 – R20 000CTC

    Main Duties:

    To estimate the cost and amount of materials, labour and equipment to complete each job quoted within the workshop environment. Also known as the cost planner, responsible for estimating the cost of a planned or unplanned (Breakdown) project.

    • Using the correct costs for example should this be, replacement cost, etc
    • Working out the correct number of items out of the area of material available
    • Working closely with the workshop manager to ensure the information used in the costing methods stay up-to-date
    • Doing timekeeping to evaluate labour during the completion of jobs
    • Quotes to be sent out within the same day – Kits within two to three days (Templates to be created for big kits to shorten the process)
    • Creation of Codes in the system. No duplications. And all items that fall within the same group needs to be done together. Items that are not the same to be closed and deleted from the system.
    • Working closely with the sales team to follow up on outstanding quotes
    • Booking off material against a job once the job has been completed to have the official cost on the system for the particular job. To be done before the end of each day.

    Minimum requirements:

    3 Years experience in aa similar role

    Matric

    Computer literacy.
