    An opportunity for an experienced, mature and industry seasoned GENERAL OPERATIONS MANAGER is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle.

    • We are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record, stable and long serving employment history, who leads his staff by example.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Business Operations Management (All business departments, workshops, sites, projects)
    • Staff management and delegation
    • Mining, Heavy Industry, Engineering, Workshop, Manufacturing sectors exposure.
    • Technical management skills
    • Financial management skills
    • Project costing, profit feasibility
    • Ability to represent the company at a Senior Level.

    EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification: NQF 6 or above (preferred) +
    • Trade qualification: Mechanical / Technical / Electrical / Electromechanical (req) +
    • Min 10 years exp. at a General / Operations or Senior Management level (req.) with
    • Multi departmental management experience (req.)
    • Strong business acumen (Financial, budgets, forecasting, sales, administration, procurement, workshop etc)
    • QA / QC Management (with ISO exp)
    • Auditing exp/exposure
    • Health & Safety
    • Drivers licence
    • Computer literate (Advanced Excel)
    • Traceable references (Background screening / Verifications clear)
    • Stable employment history
    • Newcastle residency required. (Relocation not included)
