Job Description

·Modifying the database structure, asnecessary, from information given by application developers.

·Enrolling users and maintaining systemsecurity.

·Controlling and monitoring user accessto the database.

·Monitoring and optimizing the performanceof the database.

·Maintaining archived data.

·Contacting database vendor fortechnical support.

·Generating various reports by queryingfrom database as per need.

·Perform database monitoring, tuning,and capacity planning.

·Optimize database access andallocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, databaseperformance, and cost.

·Manage schema changes andimplementations.

·Implement advanced database securityfeatures.

·Audit user activity to ensureintegrity and performance of the database.

·Establish standards, policies, andprocedures for data management.

·Define and implement alerts on data.

·Develop reports and ETL packages inline with Business Intelligence best practices and procedures.

·Data warehousing.

·Will be responsible for developing ETLpackages and data warehousing, as well as develop reports based on user needs.

Requirements

·Tertiary qualification in ComputerScience and/or Software Engineering and/or Information Systems and/orInformation Technology and/or related technical certification in an IT fieldand/or International Data engineering Qualifications or certifications.

·Minimum of 5 years' experience as aData Engineer working with:

·PowerBI

·MS SQL

·SSIS

·Azure ADF

·Good written and verbal communicationskills
