I was employed by Transnet as a secretary for 18 years. I resigned to start my own business but had to close down.  I was then employed by Mersen S.A. for 12 years where I worked in sales and office administrator before I was retrenched in June 2021.

Transnet: Secretary for 18 years started at the construction side and was later transferred to the professional side where I worked for the Civil Engineer.  

Mersen South Africa:  I was employed as office administrator.  Reception full function.  Typing of documents. Working closely with accounts department in JHB.  Assisting with debtors and creditors, tax invoices, statements, age analysis as guideline to report back to the Financial department.

In control of fuse store, ordering and selling of fuses.  Attending to walk in customers as well as account customers on a daily basis.  Ordering of fuses, GRV into system, sourcing best prices for buy outs.  Creating tax invoices on AS400 accounting system.

Stock take, stock control, assuring POD's is attached to delivery note.  Scanning and emailing documents.  Creating quotations and proforma invoices for clients. Arranging couriers on a daily basis.

Petty cash on a weekly basis.

Ordering of stationery, office and kitchen supplies etc.

Grade 12.

I was trained on the AS400 accounting system at Mersen S.A.

I worked for Mavericks (MTN) for 2 months uploading contracts onto the CRM system.
