About SAMIM ATIF:

have been working with Taj Hotels in Africa since December 2018. I have become a crucial member of the Revenue generating team for Both Hotels, working on initiatives that have increased our productivity and improved our results.

 

During this period, I have worked hard sincerely, and have put my best efforts to perform at the level expected from me.

Taj Cape Town 

 

  • I have worked as acting DOR for Taj Cape Town during Dec 2018   to May 2019 (06 months ) – I made sure we continue with our Revenue generation philosophy & activities until we find suitable Director of revenue for the hotel during this time we increased our market share, DO Revenue  was hired in CT  during Mid-May (  and I took charge of Taj lusaka as Revenue manager However till date I do work for Taj CT for revenue & Ecommerce  Manager 
  • We had 72% PMS bookings that time as we used Ideas system for pricing displacement/ optimisation and focus on conversion for both series and group business.  
  • I have also been representing our hotel at  sales & marketing workshops  at Johannesburg  
  • During this time several SOPS have been designs by me to support both reservations and front office department 
  • During my time STR was rank 1  
  • YTD rooms 2.8 m Above budget  
  • YTD Total Rev – 3 m above budget  
  • YTD Occupancy – grew by 23%

Taj lusaka 

  • I took charge of Taj Zambia in May 2019 as Revenue Manager 
  • Before covid we were in line with Budgets YTD as on March 2020as we revived our pricing strategy in both online and offline segments which helped us with growth
  • 2019 – signing up for hotels beds which we never had before 
  • Rerontracting with south African airways crew -commercial session making 
  • I have been assisting sales team in lusaka between Dec 2020 to September 2022 ( as we were in search of new sales & marketing  head  ) 
  • All the RFPS, Lanyon, Events, Marketing and business plan were done by me. 
  • I am part of quarterly board meetings with Tata Africa, and it is my responsibility that I prepare presentation with high-level commentary for Total Revenue 
  • I have been doing weekly sales calls for Taj lusaka over phone and contracting potential clients. 
  • I have been recontracting with epicure program and relooking all pros on cons time to time. 
  • Current FY – we are in line with financial budget and focus is exceed budgets next quarter.
  • During my time STR for the period RGI was 81 ( Pre Covid)
