His experience spans the banking, insurance, telecommunications and aviation industries. He currently takes this seat at a notable transnational AI/Tech company in the UK and SA, Teraflow.ai. 

Jason’s ambitions are driven by curiosity in both technology and people: 

People - With enthusiasm, he has participated in some of SA’s most famous sport events. This has geared him for working well with others and striving towards a common goal. He also indulges in the opportunity to impart his knowledge in teaching underprivileged children maths and IT which has humbled him in today's economic climate.

Technology - Being a competitive individual, technology provides the means to test his limits and break new boundaries. An example of this is when he built unmatched data pipelines and additional tools for one of South Africa's largest banks. 

An engineering discipline combined with a solution-driven mindset has given him the foundation to excel in fast-paced and dynamic environments. Using his practical insights and unwavering optimism, this pragmatic leader leverages on strengths that enhance teams and organisations alike. 

Jason's adaptability has broadened his knowledge and has given him greater business acumen. Through recommendations to enhance a top SA aviation company's software, he has proven to up-sell and provide additional features to improve a business's technology. Throughout his career, he has looked for new innovative ideas and possibilities. This approach to his work has not just allowed him to be a visionary but has allowed him to motivate and enthuse others. Charging each project with confidence and a positive attitude, has allowed him to get ahead of frustrating problems and decipher robust solutions. When given the opportunity by an insurance company, he was able to build APIs that improved the efficiency of their systems.

I have gained extensive experience and knowledge in the field of software and data engineering through my various roles and projects. Currently, as a Software/Data Engineer at Teraflow.ai, I focus on developing innovative data and software solutions for client projects. This includes working on high-volume data pipelines for a leading South African bank, utilizing AWS tools and languages such as Python, PySpark, and C#. I have also served as the lead software engineering consultant for a UK-based agriculture company, where I developed the backend of a mobile application using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and technologies like Cloud SQL, Cloud Firestore, and Terraform, using C#. Additionally, I have expertise in building fully automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build and Github actions.

Prior to Teraflow.ai, I worked as a Software Engineer at Fastcomm, where I was seconded as an external contractor for Vodacom, a prominent telecommunications company. In this role, I served as a Team Lead in the API Pulse team, managing APIs using Google Apigee and interacting with international clients such as Apple and SalesForce. I played a key role in the deployment of software across multiple environments and contributed to the successful implementation of TM Forum compliance.

Computer Engineering is a dynamic and interdisciplinary field that combines aspects of computer science and electrical engineering to design, develop, and integrate computer systems and hardware.
