Bongani Vilakazi

I am presently unemployed my last job was being a service delivery manager at BCX and later took a package where I ventured into business but I am currently looking for a job with my experience and academic qualifications. I am willing to rejoin Telkom at any level where I can add value and willing to take any kind of work available as long as I have the experience and energy to learn new technology and share my knowledge and experience with my new team.

I started my career in Telkom as a student and later qualified as a technician until I got promoted to an operational specialist position in the voice and data division where I was responsible for technically suporting the technicians, slates teams, commercial, suppliers, new product features inputs, refurbishment centre head, supervisor in workshop, focal point of contact within Telkom Voice division, liaising with field supervisors and installation staff until I joined BCX as a Service manager.   

I started in Telkom in 1996 as a student and qualified in the year 2000 and was posted in Witbank where I worked as a technician. I then got a position in Midrand in June 2002 at the BVAC Centre where i was responsible for job assigning, screening of used equipment, working hand in hand with national supervisors because I was responsible for the dispatching of work orders to all the national centres. I later got promoted to be the oprational specialist in 2009 in the BVAC Centre where I was responsible for technical support to all the value chain stakeholders. Later got a post in service management in 2013 until 2019 when I got affected by section 189. I ventured in the restaurant industry in Pretoria until 2022. I did my National N Diploma with Tshwane South College of Engineering together with my ABC Courses in Telkom College, Bachelor of Business Administration with Unisa and Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Business Management.
