To the Quiet Bees
Looking at view counts, there must be many who read posts quietly but don’t show engagement.
I am making a friendly call to the quiet bees out there.
Your engagement is valued - in whatever form. I believe all have something to contribute. You might have a different angle, even if it’s only different by a degree, it helps broaden the conversation and enrich the content.
Consider the following - with a few songs to encourage you.
1. Give it a relevant
Even if you find just a part of a post interesting or insightful, why not click on the little icon below and mark it relevant? It could be relevant to you in many ways. Maybe it made you think. Maybe it made you wonder. Maybe just an interesting read. A quick click of the relevant icon - authors appreciate it.
Enrique Iglesias - I Like It
2. Leave a comment
Perhaps a step better, or in addition to a relevant, say that you liked the post or what you disagree with. Or mention you found it a good read, a great post, an insightful piece, and entertaining article. Better still, mention why you found it so. Best of all, say what your view is or elaborate on some themes in the post.
Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson - Say, say, say
3. Share and share again
Sharing an article is a mark of endorsement. Share into one of the larger hives, or share so that it moves up on the homepage stream. Sharing a post brings it to a wider audience and increases chances of further engagement.
Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through The Grapevine
4. Write a comment post
If your comments on a certain post are extensive, why not put it in a post of its own – with reference to the person and post you are commenting on? Building on or even critiquing (politely) gives color and vibrancy to the platform.
Dire Straits - Lady Writer
5. Dare to write a post
I say “dare” because it can be daunting to put yourself out there. Especially if it is your first post. It was for me. But take a little leap. BeBee posts need not be long - 200 words and up. Tell about yourself, an opinion you have, insight gained through a particular experience, a poem, a collation of things interesting to you. Different perspectives help others understand better. Tell your story. People are listening.

Great questions, Milos. Perhaps quiet Bees would be less quiet and contribute to the conversation if there were strictly oriented professional groups for interacting with like-minded professionals. I know for sure that I am becoming more and more quiet engineer. :)

Cindy. I do apprecciate your comment. Actually plenty of those members that " trolled me out " deleted their messages And most of them are gone. Just look the amount of messages and the numbers. They are huge gaps. Anyway. I did survive. What is funny is most of those " Torquemadas" rarely wrote anything worth it here. Cheers

I read the post and comments section you linked here Pedro...and I'm not quite sure why you refer to it as a 'crucifixion.' If you've ever been humiliated by the internet 'trolls' I'm certain you would agree the exchanges on your post are nothing more than professional differences of opinion;-)

I did kind of predict some like this back in October 2016 and I got cruxified. https://www.bebee.com/producer/@innformate/showing-off After that I just read " producers " about marketing...so I got either bored or bored.

You've summed it up brilliantly in your last line CityVP \ud83d\udc1d Manjit;-) " I am a person who thinks out aloud because I cannot do what the silent majority do - but I also respect the power of their silence - kudos to the Quiet Bees - they are true to themselves, and that is worth recognizing." Sometimes the 'quiet ones' choose their moments of reflection as a private journey inward...and speaking only for myself, that is a sacred space meant only to be shared with one's self....Eventually we emerge with a renewed sense of self...a heightened awareness that perhaps will move us in a new direction;-) Many of us have already reunited in an 'alternate' space...But it is posts like these that inspire me to pop in for a visit with old friends;-) Thank you Gert Scholtz!
