MECHANICAL INSPECTOR (Manufacturing & Production) is req. for permanent employment based in Newcastle. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the successful incumbent will be required to measure and determine equipment condition, analyse trends, and identify the need for maintenance, taking into account production constraints. NON-NEGOTIABLE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS + Matric + Recognised Trade Test with a min of NTC 4 in a Mechanical engineering discipline, with 5 years maintenance exp in heavy engineering: OR . B-Tech /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ exp in a maintenance system Experience as a Mechanical Inspector (required) SAP experience, MS Office and spreadsheet knowledge Basic Computer literacy Ensures quality and delivery within timelines Decision making + Attention to Detail / Work Standards Safety, Health and Environment focus This position is based in Newcastle, and local residency is required.
