    Description

    Old Mutual Insure is seeking dynamic Claim Assessors based in Cape Town and George to join their team.

    You would:

    Process and Understand of Non-Motor claims terms & claim types.

    • Should be aware of escalation metrics and approved channels
    • Analyze problems and formulate solutions
    • Identify signs of fraud
    • Understand non-motor claims policies, activities, and procedures

    Understand and Follow the Claims Process

    • Provide prompt & accurate assessments
    • Explore available alternatives for claims assessment and settlement
    • Map client needs to company specifications
    • Create collaborative relationships for process improvements
    • Support the implementation of new systems and processes

    Delivering the Service to internal and external stakeholders

    • Follow service practices to determine customer service status
    • Identify customer solutions for changing service requirements
    • Establish operational relationships with key stakeholders

    Cost control and governance adherence

    • Ensure efficient use of resources
    • Adhere to corporate governance policies
    • Operate within agreed mandates

    Experience, knowledge & skills required

    • National Senior Certificate (NSC)
    • Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF 5)
    • 3-5 years of Non-Motor Claims Assessment experience
    • Certified and Accredited Fraud Examiner (ACFE)
    • Valid South African Driver's Licence

    Analytical Decision Making, Property Valuations, Report Writing

    Education

    Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (Required), Matriculation Certificate (Matric) (Required)
