Demand and Supply Planner

Job description

Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data, historical sales, and market intelligence to develop accurate demand forecasts.

Utilize demand planning software and tools to create demand forecasts and make adjustments as necessary.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, analyze consumption patterns, and set reorder points to maintain optimal stock levels.

Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and develop strategies to mitigate overstock or stockouts.

Supply Planning:
Work with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.

Evaluate supplier performance and communicate with vendors to improve lead times and quality.

Collaborative Communication:
Maintain effective communication with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align on product launches, promotions, and market changes.

Provide regular updates on demand and inventory status to stakeholders.

Data Analysis:
Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer behavior to make data-driven decisions.

Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.

Monthly Exco reporting

Risk Management:
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

Proactively address issues related to demand fluctuations, logístical challenges, and supplier reliability.

Required:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
5+ years of experience in merchandise demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles.
Proficiency in demand planning software and tools.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Knowledge of industryspecific best practices and trends.
