    Description

    RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading packaging company in Cape Town to find a talented and experienced Industrial Designer. As an Industrial Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative packaging solutions that meet clients' needs and align with industry trends. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and creative team and contribute to the success of the company's packaging projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand packaging requirements
    • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products
    • Create and develop packaging designs, including concept sketches, 3D models, and CAD drawings
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability of packaging designs
    • Generate prototypes and conduct product testing to evaluate functionality and usability
    • Ensure packaging designs meet regulatory requirements and quality standards
    • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies and materials into packaging designs

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Designer, preferably in the packaging industry
    • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
    • Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities
    • Excellent knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging design principles
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
