    ·

    ·Understand the Application portfoliolandscape of the Western Cape Government (WCG)

    ·Work closely with Development andEnterprise Architecture teams for solution design, architecture, and applicationalignment.

    ·Provide solution architecture guidanceto various application development teams.

    ·Conducting interviews with keyrole-players within the various departments to further understand their businessprocesses, needs, and challenges.

    ·Conducting feasibility studies.

    ·Preparing business cases andconducting an initial risk assessment.

    ·Conducting solution assessments andvalidation.

    ·Conducting presentations of thedeliverables for playback to the Business.

    ·Conducting playback sessions with theBusiness to ensure that the information extracted from the business documentsand through the interview process are correct.

    ·Produce a detailed functional designdocument to match customer requirements.

    ·Produce process flow analysis andprocess redesign documents.

    ·Share best practices and beconsultative to teams and clients.

    ·Collaborate with Technical Architects/ Technology Managers and Application development Managers to produce atechnical specification for custom development and systems integrationrequirements.

    ·Provide current best practices and 3rdParty solution alternatives as part of the functional design document inalignment with WCG standards and application portfolio roadmaps.

    ·Participate and lead, when needed,project meetings with the customer.

    ·Participate in internal projects asrequired.

    ·Experience with enterprise integrationtools and extract, transformation, and load (ETL) tools.

    ·Strong presentation and communicationskills.

    ·Good Knowledge of Cloud Solutions,Services, Cloud development.

    ·Ability to understand businessrequirements and convert them into solution designs.

    ·Knowledge of web-based systemsarchitecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture,mobile application architecture as well as experience managing expectationswhen balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.

    ·Must demonstrate good judgment andpragmatic approach to delivering a solution that optimizes architectureactivities across company needs, business constraints and technologicalrealities.

    ·Should have participated in and befamiliar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Application LifecycleManagement (ALM) and Agile project management methodologies.

    ·Proven Solutions consulting experiencein large enterprises.

    ·Tertiary qualification in ComputerScience and/or Software Engineering and/or Information Systems and/orInformation Technology and/or related.

    ·Minimum of 7 years' experience withMicrosoft and/or Oracle and/or AWS as a solutions architect.

    ·Experience with Customer RelationshipManagement (CRM) &

    ·Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)software
