Description

PBT Group has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The individual will be responsible for the creation of the One Stream collector forms. The role requires a background in technical accounting, data governance and data analysis. The person should be analytical, have a good problem-solving aptitude, accountable for driving delivery and collaborate with others to meet deliverables.

Duties:

Data Governance

An understanding of data security, data retention, data quality and data migration methodology.
Ability to implement a data migration plan (HFM to One Stream).
Contributes to data analysis/design of the One Stream collector forms.

Technical accounting

An advanced understanding of IFRS statements.
Experience in a financial services industry.
An understanding of Meta and Master accounting data.
Exposure to preparing IFRS annual financial statements.

Reporting

Providing support to IT developers and business stakeholders regarding the build and delivery of the new Once Stream Consolidated Chart of Accounts.
Implements changes to the supplementary disclosures within the One Stream Consolidated Chart of Accounts.

Personal effectiveness

Accountable for service delivery through own efforts
Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality over periods of 1 day to a maximum of three months.
Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.
Collaborates effectively with others to achieve goals.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Other

Gains business and system knowledge and keeps abreast of new developments.

Skills and Experience Required:

Com. Finance/Accounting Honours
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum 3 years' post article experience.
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience in the Financial Services sector.
Experience in producing consolidated Annual Financial Statements for a financial services company.
Experience with Oracle Smart view / HFM Web form / One Stream Web form.
Knowledge, exposure and understanding of data analysis and data solution design.
Knowledge, exposure and understanding of data bases and master data.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
Business intelligence
Knowledge, exposure and understanding of data analysis and data solution design.
Knowledge, exposure and understanding of data bases and master data.

Qualifications/ Certification:

Com. Finance/Accounting Honours
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum 3 years' post article experience.
