Job Description:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of all group financial information, including development of analysis tools
  • Ratio analysis, budget/forecast/actual comparisons and analysis
  • Commentary and investigation on variances
  • Monthly and quarterly submissions of SSA Group numbers (on BPC) to Global group reporting team.
  • Budget and forecast report submissions for SSA group, including assistance with the generation and collation of budget/forecast information from the relevant parties
  • Driving improvements to streamline and enhance efficiencies within the reporting process
  • Client profitability reporting (CPS) submissions to Group reporting team
  • Weekly Cash Reports compilation and submission to Global reporting team (for SSA Group)
  • Drive the cash flow forecasting and cash management processes within the SSA group
  • Management of forward exchange contracts and related process
  • General administration of all treasury matter s and banking facilities
  • Assistance with Audit administration
  • Assisting and training of staff regarding ad hoc queries
  • Monthly actual, quarterly reforecasts and annual budget of profit and loss, and balance sheet reporting for entities within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • Review figures to ensure accurate, valid, and complete profit and loss, and balance sheet figures within the region.
  • Tracking of actual versus budget results and identifying reasons for fluctuations.
  • Client profitability analysis of various clients.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations of entities within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • Adhoc accounting assistance and problem solving to the African Markets.
  • Reconciliation and reporting of intercompany balances throughout the Dentsu group structure.
  • Performing IFRS based calculations.
  • Reviewing and reporting of taxation for entities within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • Various reconciliations between statutory accounts and reporting figures.
  • Liaising with external auditors to complete the audit process.
  • Lead the implementation of new systems and provide training to users.
  • Foreign exchange analysis of entities within the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • Collaboration with financial managers to improve financial and reporting processes to improve KPI's.
  • Assisting Group Financial Controller with month end and ad hoc group reports.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Qualified CIMA
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Detail oriented
  • Immaculate interpersonal skills
  • Selfesteem, confidence and strength of character assertive without being aggressive
  • Able to work as an individual and within a flexible team
  • Quick to learn, and keen to develop there will be plenty of opportunity
