Description
Main Job Responsibilities:
o Following and assisting in Strategic Direction
o Risk and Hazard Identification;
o Operational Control; ensuring outsourced products or services conform to client and
legislation expectations,
o Assist in the development of client quality control plans
o Monthly SHEQ Committee Meetings; Attend SHEQ Committee Meetings and daily SHEQ and
technical meetings and giving feedback on items raised.
o All products, services and equipment need to be always identified, throughout each process.
Traceability must be such that at any point in time, we can trace a product, service or
equipment and know its history, even after reaching the customer (internal or external)
o Customer Requirements and Product Conformity
o Verifying in-process Inspections by SHEQ Inspectors.
o Reporting/Advising SHEQ Operation Manager on SHEQ Matters
o Check, Report any Defective Measuring Tools and Equipment.
o Continual Improvement
o Release of Products and Services incl. Control of Non-conforming outputs
o Internal Communication
o Final Inspections and Product Release
o Control of Customer Property (Incl. handling, storage, post-delivery activities, control of
changes, preservation.)
o Weekly and Monthly defect reports
o Daily site inspections on all products manufactured
o Weekly time sheet collection of all SHEQ Inspectors and managing all SHEQ Inspectors
employment related issues.
Qualification and Experience:
o Minimum of a 5-10 year Qualification in Quality or Grade 12 with 3 years working in the
Manufacturing sector
o ISO9001 or Integrated SHEQ Experience (Advantageous)
o Rubber Technology Diploma (Advantageous).
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
o Sound knowledge of reading measuring equipment.
