Key Output
Maintain and update all Employee Relations policies and procedures, in line with best practice, legal requirements and in support of Barloworld Equipment strategic objectives

  • Consult and advise HRBPs and line managers with regard to employment legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive Employee Relations administration system.
  • Ensure accuracy and up to date Employee Relations related information
  • Reports on Employee Relations Activity throughout in the region, provide advice to line managers in respect of all employment law matters
  • Represent the company at external forums including the CCMA, Attend to all Employee Related queries in the region
  • Manage and deliver Employee Relations related training
  • Monitor developments within the labour relations field and advise on best labour relations practices
  • Provide employment law advice on operational transformation projects and draft necessary legal documentation to ensure legal compliance in process
  • Build relationship and key negotiations with trade unions and other representative forums as appropriate with a view to securing business performance, employee engagement and legal compliance

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Law (BA Law/ BCom Law / BProc / B Iuris etc)
  • Post Graduate Degree (LLB) would be an added advantage

Minimum Required Experience:


  • Experience specializing in dispute resolution, legal compliance and stakeholder engagement will be a preference
  • Experience in Employee Relations would be an added advantage
