    The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: Computer Science- Programming (Part-Time) available for the 2024 academic year.

    Minimum Education Requirements:

    • An Honours degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology
    • Programming, Program Logic & Design, and Databases as one of the applicants' tertiary modules is required.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Lecturing experience in programming.
    • Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ programmer.
    • Lecturing experience in databases and/or programming.
    • Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ mobile programmer.

    Experience in one or more of the following technologies:

    • Java
    • NET (C#, .NET Core, MVC, Blazor, UWP)
    • JavaScript (React, Angular, etc.)
    • Cloud Development (Azure, AWS, etc.)
    • Mobile Application Development (Android/iOS)
    • Database Systems (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, etc.)
    • Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)

    Working Conditions:

    • Please note that this is an independent contractor position.
    • Lectures are for the 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd years of Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development students.
    • The Part-time contract dates (01 July – 29 November 2024)
    • Please note that lectures take place between 08:20 and 16:45 on weekdays.
    • Classes are conducted face–to–face on campus.
