    Description

    Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for their client. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment in various industries.

    As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered equipment
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
    • Replace faulty parts as needed
    • Ensure efficient operation of machinery and vehicles to minimize downtime
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

    Requirements

    • Qualified Diesel/Earthmoving Mechanic or Equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years experience
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Experience and knowledge of earthmoving and construction machinery
    • Experience and working knowledge of related disciplines (electrical, hydraulic, etc.), preventative maintenance principles, SA National Road Traffic Act and related legislation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations
    • Fault finding
    • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
