    Description

    Our client has an exciting opportunity for the South African youth in Kwa-Zulu Natal to take part in a 12-months Technical Support Learnership. If you are looking to learn more about Technical Support in different business units in an organization such as IT Technician this opportunity is for you.

    This Learnership will equip qualifying learners with well-rounded entry-level professional Technical Support skills and good fundamental knowledge of the Information Technology field, coupled with interpersonal and business skills.

    The qualification will enable you to install and manage Windows 10 from small/medium to large enterprises. This programme will enable you to work with the end-user in support.

    Requirements:

    Must be 18 – 27 years old.

    Must have completed Grade 12

    Passed Maths and English

    Proof of Disability (If applicable)

    Knowledge in IT is advantageous.

    Must be in any of the below areas.

    • Pinetown
    • Umlazi
    • Tongaat
    • Chatsworth
    • Pietermaritzburg
    • Kwa-Mashu

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Providing remote desktop support in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Responding in a timely manner to internal IT issues and requests.
    • Managing and supporting operating systems (recent Windows versions)
    • Installing, configuring, and monitoring computer software, systems, networks etc.
    • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
    • Setting up accounts for new users, modifying user/group profiles, monitoring and tuning of user machines and system resources, changing passwords etc.
    • Testing of new technology.
    • Providing basic IT training for new employees on existing platforms.
    • Understanding of backup technologies.
    • Manage and maintain files.
