- NPD, Design for Manufacture/Assembly
- Develop generic and product specific assembly/manufacturing processes
- PFMEA's
- Production technical support
- Supplier technical support
- Supplier technical and process control evaluations
- NPI
- Perform product specific training
- First article inspections
- Test set-up verifications
- National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Industrial would be preferred), BTech or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Engineering would be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Industrialization or similar role
- Exposure in the following:
- Experience in a manufacturing/production role within engineering
- Design for Manufacture/Assembly
- Various processes such as PCB manufacture and assembly, Mechanical machining, Cable manufacture, Moulding, Painting, Plating, Composite manufacture, Soldering, IPC 610/620, J-Std-001, 7711/21
- Statistical Analysis (SPC, Process Capability)
- Basic exposure to software design and implementation
- Time Studies, Process Maps, Value Stream Maps, Spaghetti Diagrams, Optimization of production lines
- Internal and Suppliers Auditing, Quality Management Systems, Sub-Contractor interfacing
- First Article Inspection processes (AS9102)
- Must be proficient in MS Office
