Manufacturing Technician

INTRODUCTION:

An exciting opportunity has become available within the medical device industry, for a Manufacturing Technician. The position is based in Observatory, Cape Town.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School certificate
  • Preferably 02 years' experience in medical devices manufacturing.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under a deadline
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • The Company requires the services of a Manufacturing Technician to join a multi
- and interdisciplinary team of Scientists, Engineers, Clinicians, Technologists and Regulatory personnel to assemble devices according to specifications and protocol.

Assembly

  • Support and improve the production process through device assembly.
  • Execute assembly of components with precision to ensure a workable product.
  • Develop mastery on the equipment and production process.
  • Execute and coordinate equipment, process and product validation activities.
  • Adhere to production process protocol, work instruction and process improvement changes.
  • Perform work in a safe manner, notifying management of safety issues and risks.
Maintenance

  • Perform equipment sterilization.
  • Conduct/assist with equipment calibration.
  • Inspect component quality.
  • Maintain a clean room environment according to regulatory requirements.
  • Meet and maintain training requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for quality and compliance matters.
