Overview:

Barrs Pharmaceuticals Industries, a key player in the Avacare Health Group, is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Technician to contribute to the efficient operation of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

As a crucial member of our operations department, the Mechanical Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of machinery and equipment, upholding the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal performance of machinery and minimize downtime.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
Assist in the implementation of upgrades and modifications to improve equipment efficiency.
Work closely with the Facilities and Maintenance department to address mechanical issues promptly.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Participate in crossfunctional teams to optimize production efficiency and quality.

Desired Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes:

Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of handson experience as a Mechanical Technician in pharmaceutical manufacturing, FMCG or a similar regulated industry.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including solid dosage forms, liquids, and packaging equipment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance.
Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work shifts as and when required.
