PARTS COUNTER SALES

Manitou CENTRE

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:


With a direct report to the Parts Manager, this position will be to market & sell spare parts to our external customers.





DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Should be KPI/A related)


  • Spare parts sales & quotations to walk in, telephonic & electronic mailing customers.
  • Decoding spare parts manuals according to customers fault finding on machines.
  • Accepting & actioning spare parts orders sent by customers.
  • Updating customers on the status of their orders.
  • Arranging collection/delivery of order.
  • Updating backorder report on Evolve for procurement of spare parts.
  • Keeping the customer updated on the progress of the backorder parts.
  • Invoicing of all backordered parts.
  • Ensuring that all documentation is in order according to rules from Finance
department.

  • Ensuring that all invoices are delivered/collected prior to month end or requesting credit
if the sale process has not been completed & having it re-invoiced in the month.

  • Responsible for customer service & satisfaction.

EDUCATION:


  • Matric (Gr 12) or equivalent of an Gr 12 Certificate

EXPERIENCE:


  • At least 5 Years in a spare parts industry.
  • Forklift knowledge
  • Computer Literacy (Automate knowledge)
  • Excel knowledge

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:


  • Outstanding COMMUNICATION skills.
  • Technical business understanding; especially in mining industry.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team orientated environment.
  • Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational scopes.
  • Good understanding of commercial law, incoterms, statutory and company commercial rules, regulations & laws.
  • Strong Business & commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in English & Afrikaans.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation skills.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:


  • Works in partnership with almost all departments of the Headquarters to ensure close
alignment

  • Represents the company as appropriate in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, commercial and investment bankers, government agencies, professional societies and similar groups.

LOCATION & EXPECTED TRAVEL:


  • This position is based in Proton Industrial Park, South Africa.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
R18, R20,000.00 per month
