Generate a profitable and efficient rental sales solution for Manitou Centre


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


With a direct report to the Sales Manager, the short term rental representative primary function is to generate a profitable and efficient rental sales solution for Manitou Centre (MC) that serves an existing customer base with a view to increasing new business opportunities.

The incumbent is required to increase the utilization of the current fleet and to communicate and coordinate with all relevant internal departments necessary to achieve this.


1. KPA's**
STR Fleet

  • Prospect and develop new customers within the Gauteng Province.
  • Weekly visits to existing rental accounts to ensure that the machines on contract are being used as well as creating an opportunity to quote on required repairs if there is noticeable abuse.
  • Daily prospecting to include but not limited to cold calls, quotes, site visits.
  • Ensure that all daily activities are captured on CRM with the intention of maintaining the database.
  • Ensure that the optimized utilization of 70% per month is achieved by sourcing new customers for machines not utilized.
  • Ensure Administrative functions within the STR department are adhered to.
  • Ensure accuracy of data captured.
  • Provide after sales support to customers.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • The ability to prepare and submit proposals to qualified customers with the intention to increase the rental business.
  • Build a strong rental pipeline to ensure growth and sustainability within the designated territory.

General duties

  • Ensure all relevant documentation is reviewed and signed off.
  • Prepare the necessary rental contracts for signature prior to delivery
  • Coordinate with the Rental administrator the availability and delivery of the required machines for short term rental.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Resolution of customer concerns and enquiries
  • Record all daily and weekly activities on CRM
  • Support the sales team when required.

Sales performance

  • Targets
  • Ensure STR Sales budgets are met, including turnover and profitability.
  • Grow and develop the rental fleet offering to the market.
  • Drive utilization of the STR fleet.
  • Ensure Platform targets are met annually.
  • Market development
  • Ensure all STR products and models are effectively distributed through the allocated region
  • Keep abreast of market condition and competitors' activity.
  • Continuously assess the product offering to customers, with that of our competitors' products to ensure compatibility.
  • Sales development
  • Assist in developing rental strategy
  • Recommend present and future rental packages and requirements as required by the individual customers
  • Reporting
  • Compile and present an activity report and planning to SM on a weekly basis.

EDUCATION:


  • Matric with a Post Qualification in Sales and Marketing.
  • Strong selling and prospecting skills.
  • Minimum 3 years selling, rental experience in the materials handling, construction or mining industry
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record within the Industrial sector
  • Positive attitude, high level energy and self motivated with plenty of initiative.
  • Must be able to sell and source new business
  • Must have existing customer base
  • Must be willing to travel local and overseas as required by MSA




EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the same field.

LOCATION & EXPECTED TRAVEL:


  • This position is based at Proton Industrial Park, South Africa.
  • Local travel within South African Borders.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
R25, R30,000.00 per month
