    This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Operations Center Engineer
    • Level 1 at Daisy Business Solutions in Johannesburg.
    The Network Operations Center Engineer will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, providing technical support. The role will require close collaboration with the team to maintain and optimize multiple clients across the country.

    Technical Skills –§ A fundamental understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnets, and basic network troubleshooting is essential.§ Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic command-line skills is beneficial.§ Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SNMP-based systems, packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark), and basic alerting systems.§ Office 365 Administration – Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online§ Knowledge in regards to Sophos Firewalls, UniFi UDM & USG will be advantageous.

    Certifications – § CompTIA N+§ CompTIA A+§ ITIL Foundation§ Microsoft 365 Fundamentals§ Sophos EngineerSoft Skills –§ Communication Skills:
    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for documenting issues and collaborating with team members

    § Problem-Solving:

    An ability to think critically and troubleshoot basic network issues is essential

    § Attention to Detail:

    Engineer should be detail-oriented to accurately document and report network incidents and events.

    Other Requirements – § Shift Work:
    Be prepared to work in shifts, as NOCs often operate 24/7 to provide continuous monitoring and support

    § Team Player:

    Collaborative skills are important as NOC Engineers often work in a team environment and must communicate effectively with colleagues

    § Adaptability:

    The ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities is crucial, as NOCs must respond to evolving issues and emergencies.

    Salary Negotiable - 20K - 25K (CTC) p/m - Neg on experience
