    Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Document Controller, to start in June 2024.

    Job Title: Document Controller

    Location: Upington, South Africa

    Salary: Market related

    Closing date: End May 2024

    Employment Type: Contract work

    Responsibilities:

    1. Document Management: Organize, file, and retrieve project documents adhering to established procedures.
    2. Document Control: Implement procedures to maintain document accuracy, integrity, and security.
    3. Version Control: Manage document distribution, track revisions, and ensure stakeholders have access to the latest versions.
    4. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with document control procedures and quality standards.
    5. Coordination: Liaise with project stakeholders to collect, review, and distribute project documents efficiently.
    6. Database Management: Utilize document management software to facilitate processes and maintain an organized document repository.
    7. Training and Support: Provide training and support on document control processes and systems.
    8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    9. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with document control.
    10. Documentation Compliance: Ensure project documentation complies with relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
    2. 6 years' experience as a document controller, preferably in renewable energy or construction.
    3. Familiarity with document management systems and software.
    4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    7. Understanding of quality management principles.
    8. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
