    Description

    Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Underwriter to join their team

    Area: Cape Town( George, Belville)

    Salary: Market Related

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Issue of new policies
    • Obtain quotes from Insurers
    • Renewal Processing
    • Amendments
    • Complete compliance requirements on each policy
    • Process and handle claim screenings and risk requirements
    • Mentor junior staff

    Competencies:

    • Excellent Communication Skills: verbal and written
    • Must be able to communicate directly with clients in a respectful manner
    • Must be able to work in a highly pressured environment
    • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
    • Determined, self motivated and a self starter

    Minimum qualifications in Short term insurance:

    • Full FAIS accreditation
    • RE5
    • CPD hours up to date

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years Commercial Underwriting experience
    • Binder/Outsource experience preferable
    • Cardinal experience preferable
