Description

This role entails planning, leading, organizing and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality while delivering Software related projects that provide exceptional business value to customers.

In also involves evaluating the production processes to identify improvement strategies and increase efficiency while ensuring consistency based on quality standards and regulatory policies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

From a
Project Management perspecitve managing several concurrent high visibility IT and Software projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions and may play a number of different roles in actual practice;

  • At an enterprise level, leading and managing large, complex enterpriselevel projects consisting of multiple agile teams as well as integrating with other activities outside the scope of the agile teams;
  • At a team level, playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools as well as coaching members of the team to optimize the efficiency of the team;

In performing these roles, you will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning while providing the right balance of agility and predictability.


Project Planning and Management - Define the project scopes and schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports and manage risks and issues.

Team Management - Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments; removing roadblocks to their work whilst leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.

Product Owner Support - Support the Product Owners/Managers in managing expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.

Team Building - Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, while encouraging a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team.


From a
Process Coordinator perspective, define and manage a well-defined project management processes and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices as well as the coordination of ITSM Tool workflows and several ITIL processes such as: Incident, Request, Change, Problem, Configuration and Asset Management.


Job Requirements:


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to prioritize. Must be able to focus on the project's critical components and ignore unnecessary or distracting work;
  • The ability to not only remain calm but to actually thrive under pressure;
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for collaborating with teams and talking with management and other nonteam individuals;
  • The ability to work well with others;
  • Superior critical thinking capabilities, including the ability to think on your feet;
  • Showing a comfort with quickly changing priorities, plus a highly developed adaptability and flexibility;
  • A strong familiarity with various Agile and Scrum elements, including Agile planning and Agile project management with Scrum;
  • Working understanding of Networking principles and methodologies;
  • Attention to detail, evaluating, documenting and logging of calls on the ITSM Tool.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Tertiary degree strongly preferred
  • Formal project management qualification ie official certification and training in Project Management;
  • Agile or Prince II certified (ScrumMaster / PMI-ACP / KanBan / SAFe, etc.);
  • Formal ITIL V3/4 training and certification;
  • Experience in Healthcare domain strongly preferred;
  • Experience in IT system integration projects and technical environments required;
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment;
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a hightech development environment with multifunction teams;
  • PMP preferred;
  • Experience overseeing multifunction project teams with at least 1015 team members including Developers, Business Analysts
