    Description

    Our client based in Cape Town is seeking to employ a Product and Contracting Assistant.

    The ideal candidate should be friendly, helpful, energetic, and driven.

    The candidate will complement the clients' Product & Contracting Team.

    The applicant should be confident, self-motivated, goal-driven and detail orientated.

    Previous consulting experiences are an advantage.

    The role will entail but not limited to:

    • Contracting supplier that are not contracted by the Central Cullinan contracting team
    • Rate comparisons
    • Assisting consultants with rate and product queries
    • Obtaining PLI documents/ POPIA from various suppliers
    • Loading rates and Ad hoc services lines
    • Assisting with planning Educational
    • Designing & quoting packages for our website & newsletters when required
    • Assisting with our B2B site i.e. actioning of queries and uploading of new agents and creating new log-ins
    • Assisting with setting up of Product Training for consultants
    • Prepare agent specific product updates
    • Attend supplier functions after hours as and when required

    In addition, the employee should be able to:

    • Building relationships with all suppliers & co-workers
    • Extend excellent customer service
    • Be honest, creative, positive, and fair
    • Fit in with our company culture
    • Must be able to multitask
    • Have a passion for the travel industry
    • Inbound tour consulting experience advantageous
    • Ability to work on Microsoft Word
    • Ability to professionally, communicate via e-mail as well as telephonically
    • A solid geographic knowledge of travel product across Southern Africa
    • Figures orientated
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Take ownership ensuring all elements are taken care of in a professional and organized manner
    • A team player – thus someone who can receive directive from colleagues when need to achieve a mutual goal
    • A can-do attitude with the ability to be proactive and enthused about their work
