JOB PURPOSE


A seasoned HR Generalist will be responsible for the recruitment, support and development of employees by means of administrative and functional tasks in order to contribute to successful people management.

Furthermore, the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing excellent advisory services in line with HR Best practices, provide business-as-usual support to employees, managers, HR Team and labour stakeholders


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.Tech or B Com qualification in Human Resource Management
  • Proficient in MS Office (Advance Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • SAGE 300 experience will be advantageous.
years REM Channel experience will be advantageous
years' experience in a manufacturing environment and/or role

  • Strong background in HR Monthly and quarterly Reps
  • Experience in HR Data analytics, HR systems, Employment Equity and BBBEE
  • Experience in implementation of Organisational Design strategies.
  • Experience in coordinating employee engagement initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations

  • Guiding and assisting managers on staff management best practices
  • Coordinate all disciplinary hearings and oversee investigations in line with labour laws
  • Support managers with investigations and case preparations
  • Formulate charges and submit them for review and approval by HR Manager/IR Specialist
  • Timeously and accurately prepare matter bundles for all parties.

Reporting

  • Timeously collate and submit all monthly and quarterly HR reports e.g. Overtime Report, HR
  • Costing Report, Absenteeism Report, Employment Equity Report, Headcount Report, BBBEE, EAP etc. for the Group
  • Analyse monthly & quarterly reports and provide continuous improvement solutions and/or recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in the recommending and implementation of business
- continuous improvement solutions.

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in exploring reports and data management methods and/or solutions to drive HR Efficiencies.

Transformation

  • Responsible for all administration relating to BBBEE & Employment Equity Management
  • Support the HR Manager with the implementation and coordination of BBBEE & EE
- interventions

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in achieving EE targets and BBBEE strategic goals
  • Understand the GAP analysis and implement action plans.
  • Coordinate BBBEE projects.
  • Compile EEA2, EEA4, EEA12 & EEA1
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly EE & Skills Meetings

Organizational Design and Compliance

  • Conduct annual Job Profile Audit
  • Ensure all employees have the correct job titles on record and on the system
  • Provide input on implementation of OD strategies.
  • Act as a key interface between HR and Business during implementation of OD interventions.
  • Manage REM Channel
  • Provide administrative support to the HR manager for all business unit HR Audits

Talent Development

  • Consolidate business unit skills audit and talent matrix on annual basis for the allocated
- business unit

  • Consolidate and review business unit talent succession plan on semester basis for the
- allocated business unit

  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Specialist in providing talent development advisory services to the for the allocated business unit
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Specialist in the Implementation of business unit training plans and training needs for the allocated business unit

Payroll (Remuneration, Benefits, and Terminations)

  • Ensure compliance with the remuneration policy.
  • Support the payroll department with enforcing Bargaining Council rules.
  • Ensure that all employees are timeously loaded on payroll.
  • Ensure that all bargaining unit employees are paid accordingly.
  • Provide employee advisory services on queries relating to benefits
  • Conducting Exit interviews
  • Ensure that the proper termination process is followed for all resignations.
  • Ensure that unsuccessful applicants are regretted timeously.

Talent Acquisition

  • Appoint talent in line with talent succession strategies.
  • Ensure best practice in internal and external recruitment processes.
  • Achieve recruitment costs savings goals in line with the Recruitment Budget.
  • Provide professional Endtoend Recruitment Coordination.
  • Conduct all applicable background checks (qualifications, driver's license, criminal & reference checks)
  • Draw up placement paperwork in line with legal requirements (e.g. BCEA and/or main agreement)
  • Proactively build a talent pool for critical skills talent.

Experience:


  • SAGE 300: 3 years (required)
  • REM Channel: 5 years (preferred)
- a manufacturing environment: 5 years (required)

  • Employment Equity and

BBBEE:
5 years (required)
- implementation of Organisational Design strategies: 3 years (required)
