- Represent the company's products and services, using consumer research as well as deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the needs of customers.
- Raise the MANN+HUMMEL profile at customer level in all market segments
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
- Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers.
- Develop and implement territory action plan using comprehensive data analysis and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field.
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities.
- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle questions objectively.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other required documentation for management-level presentations.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations.
- Coordinate with other sales representatives to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld.
- Support the Sales Team by attending and arranging customer events and marketing activities – occasionally outside the normal working hours
- Ongoing customer refresher training and new product introduction.
- Manage marketing campaigns.
- Be up to date with current market trends and needs and communicate this back to the sales staff
- Maintain a prescribed visit plan, customer research and visit feedback regarding region and prospective new business back to the sales team.
- Assist the promotions team with inter alia – customer incentives / competitions or customer specific events.
- Assist with general tasks as assigned by the Sales Head.
- Conduct market surveys
- Warehouse functions including packaging, warranty assessments, labelling etc.
- Three or more years of sales experience within a similar industry.
- Excellent demonstrable communication at all levels.
- Ability to "Cold Call"
- Interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with sales management software and CRM, (Salesforce)
- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
- Punctual, reporting, market trends and needs feedback.
- Customer Service Excellence.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years sales experience in a similar role.
- Matric or higher qualification
- Computer literacy MS Systems
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Ability to travel within South Africa and the greater SADC region.
- Unendorsed drivers licence
- Own reliable transport
