Introduction

Free State Oil (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (Pty) Ltd, a dynamic role player in the edible oil industry, situated in Villiers in the Eastern Free State.

The DOC Controller will be responsible for the DOC division within Free State Oil, ensuring effective and up-to-standard processing of Soya Oil products according to quality specifications.

Requirements:

Comprehensive understanding of DOC plant operations and machinery.
Possession of or willingness to obtain a frontend loader license.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting loading documents.
Certified for work in confined spaces and at heights.
Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and ability to assist maintenance personnel.
Adherence to personal hygiene and safety practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure smooth operation of the plant without interruptions.
Coordinate with the laboratory to monitor moisture levels in oilcake according to specifications.
Segregate product quality as necessary.
Complete and sign required documentation for each truck.
Monitor and maintain functionality of the Kemin dosing system.
Conduct sampling of trucks with each load.
Immediately report and resolve breakdowns or blockages.
Take charge of productionrelated maintenance tasks as needed during downtime.
Load correct product within designated timeframes.
Perform daily weighbridge tests after refueling.
Conduct preshift safety inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
Clean vehicles at the end of each shift.
Assist in loading coal or ash into boilers or trucks when necessary.
Carry out all lawful instructions from supervisors.
Never leave the plant unattended while in operation.
Perform required cake scale tests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization as needed through regular housekeeping tasks.
