    Description

    Our client in Paarl, a manufacturing concern within the Food Industry, is looking for an Assistant Packing Manager to join their team.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Manage picking, packing and inventory accuracy
    • Ensure stock is handled correctly
    • Ensure orders are picked and processed accurately and on time
    • Assist the Packing Manager on verifying the ready to pack totals at the beginning and end of each shift
    • Timeous and proactive reporting of faults or maintenance
    • Ensure that labels are printed, checked and available on time
    • Assist Packing Manager with line clearances and follow up on metal checks
    • Ensure that all inserts issued to the shifts must be check and verified as per the insert procedures
    • Ensure all relevant works orders are closed timeously and production reports are completed
    • Adhere to HACCP & AIB standards to ensure accreditation is achieved
    • Attend to staff performance and conduct issues as they arise in an appropriate and acceptable manner
    • Ensure that employees are motivated to perform their duties and managed accordingly
    • Identify training and development needs for warehouse staff
    • Ensure smooth running of the warehouse at all times
    • Manage Health and Safety alongside Packing Manager


    REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of 3-4years experience in a similar role
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Independent worker
    • Initiative and proactive nature
    • Attention to detail
    • Problem solving skills
    • Decision making ability

    SALARY

    R15 000 R20 000

    WORKING HOURS

    Monday Friday 08:00 17:00
