    Description

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate (NQF4)
    • BCom Degree or similar
    • Marketing & Sales Diploma (Advantageous)
    • Mostly Office Bound with minimum travel into Africa (one to four times annually)
    • MS Office Suite Applications (intermediate – advanced)
    • Experienced in using MS Teams/Zoom for meetings and training
    • SAP knowledge (Advantageous)
    • Minimum of 8 years sales/account management and new business development experience
    • Experience of business development/dealings in Africa (Advantageous)
    • Present samples of proof: Three career boasting sales success accomplishments initiating contact with prospects until closure of sale
    • Must have a proven sales track record
    • Previous Food & Beverage and Food Hygiene industry experience (Advantageous)
    • Must have own reliable transport and valid driver's license

    Key Performance Areas will entail but not be limited to:

    • Collaborating in a team to devise an approach through data interrogation and analysis, research, and experience
    • Leverage social media, and traditional sales methods such as cold calling to reach out to decision makers
    • Devising a "pitch" or "sales story" to approach the African territory
    • Sales negotiation and product training
    • Ability to navigate a complex sales scenario with Group companies
    • Sell direct and through a reseller network
    • Reaching out to and building relationships with existing customers to maintain and maximize spending
    • Be comfortable and accountable for a sales target
    • Report weekly on new prospects and pipeline growth in tailored MS Excel reports
    • Be accountable for sales activity KPI's
    • Use SAP and Outfield application to keep track of sales opportunities and activities
    • Target countries includes Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
    • Monitor trade agreements and trade developments in these targeted countries – through research learning
    • Collaborate with Marketing to create various marketing initiatives to bolster sales activities

    In return this position will offer an aggressive remuneration package that will include a Basic Salary and Commission Structure.
