    Description

    AUTO24, a leading automotive company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality automotive products and components for AUTO24's operations across multiple locations. This is a critical position that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive effective negotiations with suppliers and vendors.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive sourcing strategy for AUTO24's automotive products and components
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and vendors
    • Evaluate supplier and vendor capabilities, performance, and risks to develop appropriate supplier selection and management plans
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality products and components
    • Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements, contracts, and pricing to achieve strategic goals and objectives
    • Monitor supplier and vendor performance metrics, including delivery, quality, cost, and inventory levels
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing supply chain stability and reliability.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in automotive sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management
    • Demonstrated knowledge of automotive products and components, supply chain processes, and industry trends and best practices
    • Expertise in supplier/vendor selection and management, contract negotiation, and cost management
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct market analysis, evaluate supplier performance, and develop strategic sourcing plans
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
