    Role Headline

    System Engineers (Automation) are responsible for thedesign, development, and implementation of customer projects, according todefined Siemens standards and customer requirements. The scope of System Engineer includes paneldesign, testing of various equipment, RTU and HMI programming, siteinstallation and commissioning.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    ·Implementing projects within time,cost and quality parameters.

    ·Substation Protection andAutomation scheme design – interpreting and translating customer requirementsinto a complete system as well as applying innovative approaches i.t.oproducts, technology and people

    ·Testing of automation schemes – beresponsible to generate, testing documentation and perform testing at factoryand commissioning onsite as required during project execution.

    ·Providing customer support – the automationsystem engineer is required to perform post-fault investigations as required bythe customer.

    ·Proactively identify, review, andmanage project technical risks and ensures that appropriate mitigation measuresare in place.

    ·Support Business development byIdentifying Business opportunities and Market Potential in the Utility,Infrastructure, Industry and other market verticals.

    Qualifications and Experience

    ·Bsc orBTech in Electrical engineering

    ·4 to 6 Years of releventexperience in substation automation.

    ·Possesses and applies a broad knowledge ofprinciples, practices, and procedures of power system automation.

    ·Registered as ProfessionalEngineer or Professional Technologist with ECSA (Advantagous)

    ·Experience in software, integration andautomation, communication protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus, IEC ,IEC , Ethernet systems, protocol analysers, and industry SCADApractices.

    ·Experience in Siemens SICAM PAS software,Siemens SICAM RTUs configuration (Advantagous)

    ·Experience with electric power transmission,distribution, and generation systems (Advantageous)

    ·Experience in protection system (Advantagous)

    ·Independent working style, highlyflexible for global travel and going the extra mile

    ·Excellent communication &professional networking skills

    ·Strong intercultural sensitivityand ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe

    ·Highly desirable professionalexperience outside of home country

    ·Fluent in English

    ·Valid Driver's licence

    ·ID/Passport
