About Yaadhna Harilal:
Dear Hiring Manager
I am an admitted Attorney with strong experience in commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and risk management, currently serving as Risk & Compliance Manager at ARTsolar (Pty) Ltd, a South African photovoltaic module manufacturer operating in a highly regulated environment. I wish to be considered for a senior commercial, legal, or compliance role where legal judgement and commercial insight are equally critical.
In my current role, I support executive management and shareholders on strategic commercial decisions, including the drafting and negotiation of complex OEM and supply agreements, engagement with Tier-1 international suppliers, and interaction with government and development-finance institutions such as the DTIC and IDC. I play a key role in funding applications, governance compliance, and risk mitigation across operational, contractual, and labour matters.
My responsibilities extend beyond traditional legal functions and include commercial negotiations, dispute resolution, labour-relations management, and policy development, ensuring that legal risk is balanced with business sustainability. I regularly advise on governance, creditor exposure, and business-continuity considerations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
With a background in private practice and in-house leadership, I bring strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills, coupled with a pragmatic, solution-driven approach. I am motivated to contribute to an organisation that values commercial awareness, accountability, and strategic legal support.
