About Wongalethu Sigcau:
I am a 29 year old gentleman who loves working with people. I have the greatest of personality. This personality has allowed me to be an all rounder who can talk to anyone and form great relationships. I am a hard worker who pays 100% attention to detail. I have worked in both retail and hospital setting and I enjoyed both settings. I have so much passion for pharmacy, good pharmacy practice and good clinical practice. I started working as a Responsible pharmacist 3 years ago for the clicks group. The position has allowed me to work with people of all ages in both quiet and busy environments. I have managed to maintain an A grade pharmacy inspection and my good pharmacy practice manager has also certified me as one of the best pharmacist who has kept a green grade throughout clicks inspections.
Experience
I completed my internship in cape Town, 2019 and moved to the eastern cape for my community service in 2020. This is the time I fell in love with the eastern cape and decided that I want to stay this side and make a difference in communities. I realized a huge burden of HIV and TB in a lot of patients and decided that if I could assist my community, I would sleep better at night. I then moved to the clicks group where I worked as a pharmacist for 11 months and immediately got a promotion as a pharmacy manager. The pharmacy manager position requires that one must at least have 2 years experience as a pharmacist but because of my hunger for success and drive for greater things, I managed to be a pharmacy manager immediately after. This has been the greatest of responsibilities that I have ever had. I am still enjoying leading the team and doing reports on a daily basis. These reports keep everyone upto date as to what is happening in the business. I enjoy this because it gives the current state of the company and it gives a huge room for needed improvements.
Education
I studied bachelor of Pharmacy in university of western cape. I finished my degree in 2018. Currently, I am busy with primary care and drug therapy course. This is such an amazing course because it allows pharmacists to be clinical.
