About WONGALETHU SILWANA:

I am a very motivated Earth observation scientist with strong spatial statistics and statistical data analysis using Microsoft Excel, Python, and R. I Possess a BSc in Applied Remote Sensing, GIS and Geology and a BSc Hons in Applied Remote Sensing and GIS. I am currently finalising a MSc submission in geoinformatics at the University of Pretoria. I have expertise with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and ENVI software for geospatial data visualisation and analytics. I am well-versed in the local and national discourse on climate change adaptation. I am currently looking for a role that will allow me to acquire extensive knowledge and experience while performing my duties and building a career in the field of Data analytics, Earth observations and geo-information in climate risk and Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus

 I have 3 years of experience in academic and applied research.

Education

I Possess a BSc (Applied Remote Sensing, GIS and Geology), BSc Hons in Applied remote sensing and GIS. I am currently finalizing MSc (Geoinformatics) at the university of Pretoria.
