Over the past few years, I have worked as a financial analyst in multiple countries including, the United States, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, gaining global exposure in different companies and industries. In my most recent post, I worked as a financial consultant/financial analyst in the tourism industry for a start-up tour operator in the United Kingdom, where I help the company with its pre-revenue sales forecasting and its P&L forecasting. I also assisted in helping the company develop its flagship tour package, along with pricing models and go-to-market strategies. 

I would like to highlight my time in the US where I worked for the US subsidiary of a multinational tobacco company gaining valuable FMCG experience in finance, revenue growth management, and category management. As an FP&A Business Partner, I oversaw the financial planning, forecasting process, and financial analyst function, including the annual business plan for a $1.5 Billion plus US market cigarette portfolio. My primary responsibility was to forecast the P&L and to conduct financial analysis on all operational factors that could impact the P&L to ensure the accuracy of the forecasting process. Therefore, my understanding of commercial drivers was incredibly sound. I was the primary financial analyst and business partner for the cigarette portfolio, which meant working closely with different business functions to incorporate any potential forecast variance. Before I was appointed FP&A Business Partner, I worked as a category management analyst and revenue growth analyst, which helped me to develop my ability to analyze the brand's performance in different US states and to identify incremental revenue opportunities by selecting the appropriate pricing lever to increase sales volume and market share. 

My desire is to complete CIMA by 2026, to further bolster my management accounting and financial analysis capabilities.
